BC83-Pretty necklace made with a half of a polished fossilized ammonite from Madagascar. I have attached a gold bail & a gold chain measuring approximately 19" in length. The ammonite measures approximately 30mm X 27mm & in colors of browns, tans, & golden calcite that has replaced some of the well defined chambers. Ammonites lived 240-65 million years ago when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs. They were a marine cephalopod mollusk & they lived in the end compartment of their shell.
