Flint Glass toddy plate by an unknown probably Philadelphia area maker, Lee/Rose #811 ca 1820s. This is an incredible example of early early American made glass. This beautiful toddy plate identified only as Lee/Rose#811 (the cup plate is identified as Lee/Rose #69) measures 4 1/2" in diameter. The absence of a cap ring places this as very early in the Lacy Flint Glass period. This plate is believed to have been made in the Philadelphia area & is considered extremely rare. Damage to this piece is minimal & makes this an incredible example of the period. This extremely rare plate is a definite must have piece for any collection of Lacy/Flint period cup or toddy plates.
