Description
The Sweet Little Candy Coloured Beetle has been carefully fabricated from discarded & obsolete electronic components & hand painted plastic packaging. I have reverse painted onto plastic packaging to create glossy beetle wing cases. Just as does reverse painting on glass, the plastic gives a shiny surface & a richness to the colours, perfect for glossy wing cases. He has a total length of 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) & comes set against a lightly textured, bright white background in a chunky little, natural pale wooden style box frame which measures 12 cm (4.5 inches) squared approximately. There is also a slightly larger white frame available if preferred, measuring 5 inches squared. Each one of my Computer Bugs is a one off, original artwork...there are no two alike. It is my hope that my Up - Cycled Insect Artworks help to highlight the dangers of planned obsolescence & raise awareness of e-waste & plastic pollution in our natural environments.
