This is a very attractive hand-colored postcard of the Vagabond's House Restaurant at 2505 Wilshire Blvd near MacArthur Park in the Westlake area of Los Angeles. Vintage is late 1940s. Vagabond's House became LA's most celebrated tiki bar in the 1950s & 1960s. Its building on Wilshire Blvd originally was the home of the Cafe Opera & later became the home of La Fonda where diners were serenaded by mariachi musicians. Vintage is late 1940s. It is postally unused & in excellent condition. Comes in 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 silver metal easel-back frame with 1-color mat & attached triangle hanger for wall mounting. For the Los Angeles native and/or history buff. Makes for great bar or kitchen decor. A hard-to-find vintage collectible!
