Common in the 80s, woven tapestry vests - and, as exemplified here, "ethnic" vests - are a wardrobe staple for anyone who likes to accessorize with bright colors & dynamic patterns. Putting on a vest is the easiest thing ever - especially one like this, with no closure (I pinned it shut for the photos so it would stay on the slippery mannequin). Just throw it on & voila! FUNKY. This li'l number is slightly more on the subtle side, with relatively subdued vertical ombre & zigzag stripes in cherry pink/red, azure, lavender & forest green on a black background. The front is a poly or acrylic woven fabric, the lining is likely acetate, & the back is black wool or wool blend with wide-spaced purple pinstripes. The pockets are real, huzzah!
