Bernie lives to save lives! He is dedicated to his job, & will do whatever it takes to succeed. Could you use a dog like this at your house? Bernie has a bright headlamp & his tail blinks red! He always has his helmet on, & his bright orange safety rope handy. Not that he hopes a child falls in a well, but if that happens, he will save him! Bernie is made with this wonderful vintage Ash Flash lantern. It is in great condition, so shiny! It takes a 6 volt battery, but it comes without one due to shipping weight. They are readily available & not too expensive. The headlight rotates, so Bernie can look down at the ground in front of him & get a good sniff when necessary. Bernie's legs are copper tubing with tart tin feet. His ears are tongs, his nose is a wooden canister knob, & his eyes are glass teddy bear eyes in nuts with star washers. His helmet is a copper sugar bowl with a brass finial topper. Bernie is 8.5 inches tall at his helmet, 11 inches from nose to tail, & 5 inches wide at his ears.
