Description
Vintage japanese sand painting on hardwood board. the board is 16 1/4" x 12 1/4", mounted in a wood frame 17 1/4" x 13 1/4", signed with red seal in lower right corner. the painting is on the dark side with light coming through the sky onto the water after the storm. the wood frame has scratches to the finish it is a plain dark stained frame with a channel running through the top edge, the painting has scratches to the finish in the sky portion. the painting was purchased at an estate sale in upstate new york & the original frame was broken & one side was missing, the painting is now in this frame which fits it because it was an odd size. the painting is covered in glass to protect from further scratching. the painting is held in the frame with framers' points & it has a new dust cover & wire hanger.
