When we researched places we wanted to visit in Canada, it was hard to believe the stories & photos of Peyto Lake, with its supposedly turquoise color & wolf body shape. I put it on our to do list, & after a long drive along the parkway on the way to Jasper, we did a hike in the rain up the lake overlook. All I could do was stand there with my jaw hanging open for several minutes. It REALLY does look like that! Absolutely stunning view, with shades of blue turquoise (all depending on how the light hits hits it) & sculpted at the base of mountain in the shape of a wolf's profile. I took at least 50 pictures trying to get the best angle to keep the moment forever. I captured the photo to save the moment & its view to share with you. Hi there!
