This painting is exactly what you think of when you think of a mid-century still lifewine bottlesa Chianti bottle, no lessand fruit. It doesn't get more classically mid-century bohemian than that. The piece measures 16.5" x 20.5" including its period frame. The canvas itself is 12" x 16." It is clearly signed & dated. Patricia Dillon is (was?) a talented amateur with a great color sense. This painting is somehow dark & bright, moody & cheerful at the same time. Its flaws include 2 spots of discoloration on the frame, a couple of tiny areas of paint loss (see photos) & a little dent in the Chianti bottle. Framed Vintage Still Life Oil Painting.
