Up for sale is a rare antique 18th century original wax portrait sculpture made in London. The circular formatted portrait is done with a realistic approach & has exquisite detailing done in high relief. The sculpture is set in a circular wooden frame, is under glass, & set in a large antique routed wooden frame. It is in nice condition & measures 11 1/4 inches by 9 1/4 inches framed. It has writing on the back but a little bit hard to make out. We can read "modeled in ? to Ms Ma? R Lucas J. Cambridge Sr. ? London".
