These handcrafted phases of the moon earrings have been inspired into creation by my love for & connection with the moon & her cyclical phases. Solid raw brass arcs with the phases of the moon cut out in them dangle from textured solid sterling silver chains & ear hooks. I can make these earrings with either a regular ear hook or 16g hand hammered hoop ring that works well for stretched ears. See last pictures for stretched ear hoops & examples of the earrings with the stretched hoop option. Please choose your preferred ear hook style from the drop down menu. A beautiful way to adorn yourself while honoring & connecting with the moon. A patina has been hand added & buffed to bring depth to the texture & add to the style. These earrings are a comfortable weight: Each Regular hook earring weights approximately .08 oz (2.3g) each. Their total length is 2 3/4 inches, including the solid sterling silver ear hook. Width is 1 1/8 inch. Each Stretched hook earring weights approximately .12 oz (3.2g) each. Their total length is 3 1/4 inches, including the solid sterling silver 16g ear hook. Width is 1 1/8 inch. Please choose your desired size earrings from the drop down menu. ✦ C A R E - I N S T R U C T I O N S ✦ Each creation is lovingly hand crafted with meticulous attention to detail, aesthetic, & durability. Please remember to remove your jewelry before bathing/showering, swimming, doing rigorous physical activities, or working with harsh soaps, lotions or any chemicals. Patinas change over time by the wearer so your piece will eventually shine & darken in a pattern specific to you. I do not seal my jewelry with any lacquer or waxes. If you'd like to get the shine back on your metal pieces without using any chemicals, you can gently rub them with a little piece of Extra Fine Steel Wool Grade #0000. Keep in mind, rubbing the black patina areas with the extra fine steel wool will remove the patina & make those parts shiny metal. Do not use steel wool on any stones as it can permanently scratch them. Sterling silver, brass & copper are metals that will tarnish & react to their environment. Proper storage can help prevent this. Keeping your jewelry in an airtight container is best, as the air & humidity can speed up tarnish. Wearing your pieces as much as possible will help keep them tarnish free as your skins natural oils help protect the metals from tarnishing. Extra Fine Steel Wool Grade #0000 also helps to remove tarnish.
