What a funky find & groovy "peace" of history. This is a 1986 make love not war peace sign tapestry/flag made by Nikry Company Inc. The material is silky & naturally distressed. This was used as a wall hanging (and who knows what else, maybe as a sign for a protest?) & the corners & the top have pin holes / distressed areas. The pink peace sign is also distressed. The true color pink is seen in the first image & upclose images of the lettering (blush/powder pink). I got this from an estate sale company who have been life long antique dealers & do estate sales in the Seattle region (their 70/80s years old) & sold off their life collection which they've accumulated from PNW estates for decades. This flag does have Pacific Northwest roots & as one can imagine, this was a part of someone's home wall decor (or even hippie van) as back in the day the PNW was chocked full of anti war advocates.
