This specific shirt is from a deadstock collection belonging to one of Run DMC's bodyguards, who accompanied them on tour & collected a number of one-of-a-kind keepsake t-shirts along the way. The back of this shirt shows that it is from the Australia & New Zealand leg of the tour in 1988. Tougher Than Leather was the group's fourth studio album & it was released in conjunction with a crime film of the same name, which starred the band & was directed by Def Jam Records co-founder Rick Rubin. The album was released at the height of the group's popularity.
