This is a beautifully grained 6-inch Black Walnut coffee scoop. It holds 3 tablespoons. Don't let the knobby, crooked handle fool you. It is supper comfortable to hold & easily conforms to the shape of the palm & fingers. Particularly if you have a medium to large hand. I also like the off-set bowl design to make dumping coffee easy. This scoop could be used for coffee, sugar, bath salts or any other ingredient. The scoop pictured is the actual scoop you will receive. This scoop came out of a tree from our woodlot here in Central Iowa. It was worked down by hand & then sanded smooth to 400 grit. It was then treated with food grade mineral oil & then finished with a food grade beeswax/carnauba wax formula. Just give it a coating of your favorite oil or wax now & then to maintain its luster.
