Lady Augusta Sarah Cadogan ( 1811 - 1882 ) was Lady-in-waiting to the Duchess of Cambridge & the daughter of the 3rd Earl of Cadogan. Her portrait was originally drawn by J. Hayter, engraved by H. Robinson. This portrait was part of a series of "Victorian Ladies", printed & published in the 1940s, probably in England. The portrait is subtly colored, much like so many 19th century lithographs were hand tinted, & the border surrounding the portrait has considerable detail. The frame has heavy wear on the upper edge as you can see in photo 6. The frame measures about 12" wide by 15 1/4" high by 7/8" deep. Under glass, wired, & ready to hang. in fair to good condition.
