This fiber, also known as China Grass or vegetable silk for its shiny, durable qualities is resistant to bacteria & insects. Ramie does not shrink & produces garments that are strong, breathe & have a lustrous quality. Used in wet & needle felting as well as spinning. Ramie is worked in the same way as tussah silk & will felt only when combined with other fibers that do felt.
