Blue & white tin glazed earthenware plate made by the De Porceleyne Fles factory, Delft, c. 1919. It commemorates the cancellation of the Netherlands Overseas Trust Company, a clearing house for imported contraband goods set up during World War One in order to avoid conflict between the Netherlands & the allies. The initials of the company's board, chaired by Van Aalst, are recorded in the border. Decorated with a caduceus flanked by laurel & oak branches. Condition Good Dimensions 8 7/8" Dia.
