Cap is made of warm woolen cloth. It is lined with viscose lining, has a natural leather sweatband & two dark oxidized finish buttons. It has a shape memory visor 4.5cm len. & a crown diameter of ca. 23cm. This is one of our most popular models. This pattern has it's unique place in Polish history thanks to Pilsudski's Legions. It was popular in the begining of XX century & mid war period. First it was considered a typical peasants headwear. Then it became popular as a military hat & became popular with 1st Brigade of Legions (wearing this hat) which refused to swear allegiance to Austrian Emperor. After I World War it was popular amongst patriotic members of Polish society. On other listings this cap is also available in black, gray & brown. 2 versions of Maciejowka in deep blue are available: with twine & belt.
