An amazing piece of Ethnic Craftsmanship from Iraq. Made in the 1960's in the Southern Marshland Region of Iraq. This is a Traditional Wedding Blanket made by the local people. The base wool fabric was hand woven & the decorative top was embroidered & sewn with vibrant colors & shapes. It measures 80 x 52 inches (6.6 x 4.3 feet). I see no major damage on this piece.
