Sizing is orientated from left to right when standing in front of the bench & looking at the bench. A 36" x 60" is therefore 36" on the left, overall length, & 60" on the right, again overall length, when standing in front of the bench & looking at the bench. These are overall dimensions when the sections are combined. 18" on the left + the 18" depth of the right = 36" plus two 30" sections to create the 36 x 60. See last pic in listing gallery. Four bench seats ship in four pieces that can easily be assembled with an Allen wrench.
