Antique Leather Album with 29 Cartes-de-visite (CDVs) of Religious Clergymen wearing Vestment garments. Some have the photography studio information for French & Swiss studios. Some do not have any info on the back. No names are included of the individuals. These albums were popular hobbies in the 1860s, & many parlors would have them sitting on tables for perusing. Circa 1860s. 29 CdVs - thin paper photos mounted on heavier paper. Usually, these are albumen prints. The size of the cards varies a bit, but they are around 2.5" by 3.75" Album is about: 5.5" by 4" by 1.5" & features beautiful gilt edges. Overall condition: Some expected wear & tear on the leather album covers. The latches work very well & are in surprisingly good condition. There is an ink stain, see photos. Some of the pages have a bit of wear/light damage. There is some light foxing here & there, & a few small bits of smudge. A few of the photos are faded. BONUS: we will include the 5-decade rosary shown in the first photo. It is a large, "pectoral" rosary, measuring about 42" around. It is marked ITALY.
