Also you can see some of the beautiful & soulful artwork of talented local artists from Himalayas. ~~Guru Rimpoche Mandala Thangka Painting~~ Mandala thangka are believed to bring internal peace & good luck within one & family. Mandala is a geometric pattern of squares & concentric circles as a projection of the cosmos. The basic form of mandalas is square with four gates containing a circle with a center point. Mandala is regarded as a place separated & protected from the ever changing & impure outer world of samsara. Padmasambhava, also called Guru Rimpoche, was instrumental in spreading Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in 8th Century. He is shown in his more typical form, seated in royal posture with a vajra in his right hand & a skull-cup bearing a vase filled with the nectar of longevity & wisdom in his left hand. He is worshiped for removing impediments to worldly or spiritual success, as well as averting damage from spirits or non-human beings.
