Welcome to Block Island North Lighthouse in Rhode Island. I didn't even know what Block Island was until one of my closest friends told me about it as she vacationed there with her momma. I always wanted to vist with Donna & Shelley & couldnt go when invited & now Donna is gone. But one glorious day I will check it out with Shelley & her family. The first light on the site was built in 1829. The current structure at Sandy Point is the fourth lighthouse built on the site & was made of granite & iron in 1867. I have painted this with a colorful bubble design throughout the image playing off the black linework to give just a slightly more funky/abstract feel to my usual style. I really enjoy combining my love for nature with my comic book style linework. The giclee print measures 7x5 inches with a 10x8 black matting.
