Description
This hand-fabricated, silver, cuff-style bracelet features a polished stone with inclusions of petrified palm root. The kite-shaped stone is set in a fine silver bezel with a sterling-silver backplate, 1 5/8 inches by 1 1/8 inch. The profile height of the stone in its setting is 1/4 inch. The backplate & 4mm sterling silver cuff are decorated with a fanciful, hand-stampled texture. The band & setting were patinated & polished to a shiny finish. The bracelet will fit small wrists. The cuff is 2 1/4 inches at its widest. The total circumference is 6 inches, including the 1 1/8 inch opening. A photo shows the bracelet on a 5.5 inch wrist. The bracelet may be slightly adjusted by the wearer. This bangle-style piece is light in weight. I cut & polished the cabochon from a slab of rough rock. The rock was collected near Barstow, California, which is scorching hot today but enjoyed a balmy, palmy climate just a few million years ago.
