Description

This is a rare, vintage 1940s cast-iron, wall-mount, advertising, STARR "x" Pepsi Cola, bottle opener. This is NOT a reproduction. It was on the wall of the basement kitchen of my home built in 1933 which we purchased from the original owners in 1973. It measures about 1.25 inches in depth by 2.75 inches wide by 3.25 inches in height. It is made of silver, cast iron with red, script "Pepsi Cola" lettering. If you look up the Pepsi Cola logos this style was produced during the 1940s. It is made by the Brown company of Newport News, Virginia. It has the number 25 on the backside. I see descriptions of Pepsi Cola bottle openers using the words "double-dot or single-dot" & truthfully I do not know what that refers to & I don't know if this is one or the other. Apparently the dots determine the pricing. This could be worth more or it could be worth less, but it is what it is. If anyone can help me out here, please feel free to inform me. It is in excellent condition with some, but very, little wear. The screw hardware is NOT included with this sale. Please be sure before purchasing as this item is NOT returnable.
