Phillip Cantrell signed, original impressionist oil painting on canvas & framed. Good vintage condition with age appropriate wear. The frame has dents, scuffs, scratches & the outside left top corner of frame is chipped (see photo) but does not distract overall. The painting has been wiped down but will need a better cleaning & is ready to hang. Size: approximately 12"W x 16"H canvas 17"W x 21"H frame Cantrell was born in Port Austin, Michigan in 1922. He lived in Paris from the age of 19 to 23, during that time he cultivated his unique talent for landscape paintings. A sense of mystery & realism fills his paintings, which are mainly representative of the old school. He returned to Port Austin in 1950 where he mainly paints the local scenery.
