According to NHlbI, Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition that affects a protein in the body. People who have cystic fibrosis have a faulty protein that affects the body's cells, tissues, & the glands that make mucus & sweat. There are so many questions. What is the life expectancy of someone with cystic fibrosis? What are the symptoms of cystic fibrosis? Are there new medicines for cystic fibrosis? I cannot answer all of these, but I can tell you what it is like watching someone you love going through a challenging lung disease. This shirt is a dedication to my sweet mother-in-law & the others in our family that have passed from this disease. I hope that it brings awareness so more conversations can happen, & more treatments can be developed. I hope it spurs someone to ask you what cystic fibrosis is when you wear it. Most of all, I hope it brings comfort & a smile to someone's face when you wear this shirt, & they recognize you care about what they are going through. This cystic fibrosis shirt is cozy & comfortable. It is loose fitting for an in-style look, while also being a great option for individuals with sensory issues that do not like constrictive apparel. The sizing chart allows you to size up or down to find the best fit for you. For reference, I weigh 185lbs, am 5'7, female with a large chest & the L fits me perfectly. A M would be a tight fit, the XL would be amore oversized look. The Solid colors are 100% cotton Heather colors are 35% ring-spun cotton, 65% polyester Sport Grey is 90% cotton, 10% polyester. Why does that matter? The softest options are the Heather colors, but all of these Bella Canvas shirts are great quality & true to size.
