1937 vintage, original lithograph art print" The Crossing Guard" by Henry Hintermeister ( American , 1897 - 1972). Soft pastel, muted color: green, olive green, sage, blue, white, beige brown. Depicting a sweet street scene: the ' guardian" boy with a dog helping the children crossing the street on the way to school. Signature of the artist on the left side. The mark: Litho in USA, 1937 at the right side. Nostalgic, rare, timeless.... Surrounded by the beautiful , art nouveau, ornate wood frame with a decorative , ornate metal corner's triangles. Under clear glass. Original wood backing. Gently used condition. Overall is clean , has tiny water marks of the bottom & two small spots ( under the feet of the girl on the left). But it's not visible . The beautiful frame in the good condition as a well. Has distressed color at the corners & two small pieces of the ornate trim are missing ( on the bottom of the right).
