Antique, original Set of Porcelain Doll Dishes from Germany in presentation box. The box has the original panel inside the lid, a black & white picture of a grown up family at the dinner table. At the bottom of the panel are the words, "Made in Germany". The paper on the panel is curling, missing a few spots & has mildew. Box measures 13" x 10" x 3". At some time in the past it was painted a bright yellow with flowers. 18 pieces total with 2 lids. The dishes sit on a bed of shredded paper wrapped in pink paper with a piece of light cardboard with cut outs showing where to dishes are to be placed. Both pieces have a bit of mildew on them. I considered spray painting these lining pieces but decided to leave this set as found, original. Porcelain doll dishes were much played with. The flower design is worn on some, worn off on others. The handles on 2 of the 4 saucers are broken off. The little pitcher has what appears to be a factory flaw. See photo. Otherwise good condition. This set pre-dates WW2. As a collector & 25 years as an antique seller, I estimate the set to be 1890-1920. Very hard-to-find in the presentation box! A true antique!
