Up for sale is a wonderful antique bronze patinated figural cast iron expandable book shelf. It's made of thick cast iron, is done with a very elaborately cast reticulated design, & has acquired a lovely patina from age. The hinged bookends feature medieval knights in full armor surrounded by ornate scroll detailing. Each bookend is mounted to three cylindrical rods that are expandable & collapsable. It's in nice antique condition & each end measures 6 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. At its largest adjustment it measures 212 1/2 inches & at its shortest it measures 11 3/4 inches long.
