This "Big Tree" as visitors often call it is located in the Convento Courtyard on the grounds of The Alamo, Shrine of Texas Liberty. Walter Whall relocated a 40-year-old Live Oak tree to this location on a cart pulled by four mules. Today, the tree has a trunk girth of about 12.5 feet & a canopy spread of 88 feet, standing 39 feet high.
