Antique Houbigant Ideal Le Parfum Baccarat Crystal Perfume Flacon, Crystal Stopper, Partial Gold Foil Gibson Girl Label, EMPTY Collectible This antique miniature perfume bottle is a wonderful Houbigant collectible. The baccarat crystal bottle has part of the original gold foil label marked Houbigant Ideal La Parfum with an iconic Gibson Girl smelling a flower! The bottle is marked Houbigant New York. The wonderful antique perfume bottle has a nice heft crystal glass with faceted crystal glass stopper. The bottle has a sloped sides on top with square bottom. There is cording holding the stopper onto the bottle. Stopper & inside of bottle is ground. Jean-François Houbigant launched his perfume business in Paris, in 1775 at the young age of 23. It is said that he arrived at the new business with a basket of flowers. This Basket of Flowers became the sign over his shop & for many years it was used on his invoices. I love this charming story! Le Parfum Ideal was created by Houbigant by perfumer, Paul Parquet in 1896, & it was launched at the 1900 World's Fair. Ideal was the first floral composite bouquet perfume & was considered a chic & vibrant oriental perfume. Measurements: 4-1/8" height by 1-5/8" width & depth Condition: Crystal bottle is in used Very good condition. There is a chip under the top of the stopper. Partial label affixed & in ok condition.
