Description

A finely crafted Ikebana vase made by Northwest studio potter Mark Hudak of Tacoma Washington. This unique propellor shaped studio pottery vase has thick mottled black glaze on the top surface & lower portion of the vase. The lower flared out pedestal portion of the vase has a carved spiral design on it. It measures 8" wide by 2.75" tall tall by 4.5" deep. The underside is marked Hudak in ink. This northwest art pottery vase looks very nice overall with interesting glaze effects seen in the black glazed surface. A few pin point marks are seen in the white clay on the base edge as made. The glaze is similar to that used by Reid Ozaki on some of his NW pottery creations. A great piece for your northwest studio pottery collection.
