Cheerful silk-screened bluebells & hand-tinted on an enameled copper base. These lovely earrings are a great gift for your gardening enthusiast. The hand-painted enamel earrings are hammered into a slightly domed shape. The copper shape is carefully cleaned & prepared in order to accept the enamel. I apply at multiple layers of enamel, which is finely powdered glass, first to the back & then the front of the piece. Each application must be fired with a mixed fuel torch or in a 1450 degree kiln & then cleaned before the next layer can be added. This firing process is repeated at least 6 times for the hand-painted designs. Each pair is painted by hand & thus may vary very slightly. Dimensions: 1.15 x .75 inches.
