Collectible United States naval memorabilia. Heavy brass ashtray is from the USS McKean DD-784. Ashtray has four rests. USS McKean DD-784 is in relief against the background. Overall diameter is 6 inches; inner circle diameter measures 3.75 inches. Stands one inch high. in very nice vintage condition with authentic patina & verdigris. Please see ALL photos. It was launched on March 31, 1945, commissioned June 9, 1945 & stricken October 1, 1981. After nearly forty years of service, the USS McKean was sent to Turkey on November 2, 1982 where it was cannibalized for spare parts.
