Two Wood Sculptures Treffle Picard started wood carving at L'ecole-de-Sculpture under Andre & J.J. Bourgault in 1940 when they opened their school in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec. He maintained a studio in Saint-Stanislas, Quebec for many years. His early work was traditional painted carvings of Quebec people. in the later 1950's his work was unpainted & he also made carvings of animals as well as larger studio works of people. Active 1940 - 1980's. No chips or splits to the wood. Signature is stamped on the base. Figure is attached to the base. Both Grand dad & Grand Ma included. Love the expressions We do not alter any items sold; they are listed the way they were found. We get the dust & dirt off, but all serious cleaning/polishing & repairs are the decision of the purchaser. We are willing to ship anywhere you are willing to pay to have it shipped there.
