Early American Pressed Glass jug from George Duncans Sons & Company, GDS #40 (OMN) aka Bassettown, c 1898. This is an interesting piece which I presume to be a jug of some type. It appears that a metal lid would have been part of the metal collar, perhaps for pouring. This jug measures 8 1/2" tall to the collar. Although the collar is a little misshapen, the jug itself is free of any damage. A fascinating piece to have in any collection of period pressed glass. Sold as is, condition issues, if any, noted.
