This is a small pendant compact meant to hang from the neck. It is on an antique watch chain that is goldtone in color to match the compact. There is an original fob in the Figural shape of a bugle horn. (So cute) The chain is thick & holds strong. It is not original to the piece. It can be connected into a loop to carry the compact as a dance purse or looped around the wrist if one chooses, to be worn in the fashion much like a bracelet. The compact does have one indented corner which is so slight it is hard to see . The compact features a spider web incised design with traces of white enamel & the most adorably feminine spider ever! The spider has a sparkling green, old Dematoid Garnet faceted body & a Pearl head with tiny & sturdy legs The compact lifts open with a fingernail. Length of stretched out watch & bugle horn fob is approximately 12". The compact measures approximately 1 3/4". It has a clear-reflection, original diminishing glass framed mirror. This compact has full London hallmarks dating it to 1920. They are plainly read on the back. There is a letter & a long number imprinted on the front. The chain is unmarked. Comes in the original jewelers' leather hinged box with jeweler's name embossed inside lid. The hinged box is in excellent condition with a velvet mustard lining & push button opener. Gorgeous piece. Overall, the color is gold with wear so some silver shows through ever so slightly but it looks amazing! Functions perfectly!
