It may be warm, but this snowman is ready to be displayed in your home. This cute Welcome Warm Winter Wishes Sign /Door Hanger would make a great addition to your Christmas/winter decor. This would also make a good DIY family craft night or for a paint party. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING: This listing is available painted or as a DIY kit. The sign measures approximately 10 inches in diameter. FOR THE DIY KIT: The kit is unfinished & unassembled. DIY kit does not contain glue, paint, or brushes. You will need to assemble the item by using glue like super glue, E6000, or stick-fast adhesive glue. For smaller items, I use super glue & for larger pieces, I use E6000. Acrylic & chalk paints seem to work the best for me. The item can be painted using brushes or even inexpensive make-up sponges. I have used both in my painting classes & painting my items. For Painted: The door hanger is hand-painted using acrylic paints in the colors, red, green, & white. Since this is hand-painted, no two are the same. The hanger is sealed with a high gloss sealer & can be hung on a covered door or on a wall inside your home. It can also be placed on a sign holder or plate holder to be displayed on your table or shelf. The sign measures 10.5 inches in diameter. Material: Each layer is cut from 1/8 inch (3mm) MDF. Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF Board) is a wood material prepared by separating the softwood or hardwood residuals into the wood fibers, frequently in a defibrillator, wax mixing & forming a shape-like a panel by using high pressure & temperature. It is an engineered wood product & has a smooth surface with no voids, knots, or splinters. Unlike plywood, MDF doesn't have a wood grain appearance & has a consistent light brown color. MDF does absorb paint quickly, so you may need to do a couple of coats to get the coverage you are looking for. MDF is moisture-resistant, not water-resistant, nor waterproof, & is still prone to swelling & warping if in direct contact with the elements. You can expect some dark edges or char marks that can be sanded away or can be painted over them. Being that they are laser-cut there will be a burnt wood smell.
