Description
REDUCED: Lovely vintage glass bell jar from the estate of a medical researcher. The jar is thin glass with a subtle swirl pattern & solid top knob. The shape is unusual compared to today's apothecary or lab glass in that it narrows at the center, then flares out again. This seems like blown glass, it just has that quality. There's no seam & the edge rim is not perfect. & how else to get that "waist." The bottom is different, heavy & seamed. There's a short pedestal, & a small round recessed area at the center of the top. The 2 pieces fit together well.
