Qing Dynasty graded Pu'er tea as tribute tea & decreed that 33,000 kilos of Pu'er tea should be handed in every year. Contemporary royalties & celebrities all took pride in collecting & tasting Puer tea. The processing of Puer tea is after-fermented & is known for its different appearance. Health Benefits: Fat burner, aid in digestion, weight loss The natural combination of green tangerine peel & pu-erh has plenty of health advantages. Its fresh yet mellow aroma & taste are simply uplifting & soothing to the senses. Moreover, baby green tangerine peel is rich in volatile oil substances such as limonene, AHA, & flavonoids, which can improve chronic pharyngitis, common cold, nasal congestion, liver stagnation, & indigestion, protect the lungs, liver, & cardiovascular system. It also contains phenolic acid & Nobiletin which are proven to promote the metabolism of the human body. How to Brew Green Citrus Pu-erh Tea: Gong Fu Tea Style: (tastes mellower & richer) Step 1. Open the package & take out the Tangerine Pu-erh Tea; Most of the Green Citrus Pu-erh will have a layer of wrapping paper outside, which can not only preserve its fragrance but also protect them from collisions during transportation. Step 2. Rinse tea twice (More fully awakened tea, better taste). Put the Green Citrus Pu-erh Tea into the Teapot, remove the top of the green citrus skin & pour boiled water (about 212oF/100oC ), let the tea leaves be fully moistened & heated. Then pour out the tea liquid. Repeat. Step 3. Brew Green Citrus Pu-erh Tea Pour boiled water (about 212oF/100oC ) directly into the middle of the tangerine, & water will be poured into the ripened Pu-erh tea, so that the tea liquid is red & the taste of Pu-erh will be mellower & richer, then pour out the tea liquid into your teacup. Enjoy the tea. You can aim for the pu-erh or the surface of the tangerine when you pour the hot water in. The steeping time depends on your preference for the taste: if you like to taste it stronger, then steep it longer, & vice versa. During steeping, you can see the color of the tea gradually intensify, & the water changes from transparent to golden, then red-orange, just like the process of ink droplets in the water. This method allows the tea to last up to 12 steeps. Although this method sounds complicated, it helps the exudation of the flavor of the tea.
