French Mens Gents Dress Shirt, White Cotton, Monogram, Original Label, Edwardian, Period Clothing ja 7282208 Amazing antique French mens dress shirt from the early 1900s. Fine, crisp white cotton mens dress shirt with very fine tuck pleating & monogram. Long sleeves. Mother of pearl partial button down front & collar is made for stud buttons (and collar attachment). Two buttons at the sleeve cuffs. The yolk /front panel of the shirt would have been finished in a high starched fashion. Amazing monogram at the front of the shirt in red thread. Original label for Lyon, France shirtmaker. This is a wonderfully made antique piece. A generous size, the shirt measures .. 48" chest size, 17.5" across the shoulders, length 42" (front), length 46" (back) sleeve length 22" (taken from under arm). in amazing condition for the age although it does have some issues. Rust spots on the tail hem, couple of small holes on a sleeve, few stitches needed on an armhole & wear on the edges.
