To combat this week's Texas heatwave I've been painting the ocean - deep blue water, ocean waves breaking on a sandy beach . . . or this 11" x 14" original watercolor painting of a lone apex predator & garbage eater of the oceanic coastal waters, AKA the tiger shark! Just in time for Shark Week, I tried to capture the solitary nature of this sinuous hunter, lurking in the clear blue depths . . . Size: 9" x 12" on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper One of a kind original watercolor painting - signed & dated by the artist. I used a combination of watercolor, acrylic paints, chalk, & color pencil on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper for this painting. It's finished with a couple of layers of clear archival spray varnish in a matte finish, which sets & protects the layers of color. Includes raw edges of approximately 1/4" all around which is visible in the listed images & included in the listed dimensions. These raw edges can easily be covered by matting during the framing process. As an original watercolor on paper, the materials used are fragile & if not handled with great care, can be damaged or torn!
