Hornets are territorial insects & build nests approximately 200 feet (60 meters) from other nests. We use the fake nest in order to scare away insects that may threaten us while resting in the fresh air. Hang the nest in a quiet place (by a wall, under a roof, near the trunk of a large tree) - preferably away from flowering plants, because the crochet nest can also scare away bees. Of course, I can't guarantee that this socket will work 100% - but there is a chance. Therefore, it should not be placed near flowering plants that should be pollinated by insects. The nest measures approximately 8" (20 cm) tall & has a loop at the top for easy hanging. It is crocheted of yarn (acrylic + wool) & stuffed with anti-allergic silicone fiber.
