This is a very rare & beautiful antique art deco glass shoe display pillar, stand or riser. This beveled crystal shoe riser is a very stately & ornate heavy glass piece, quite architectural looking. It is heavy pressed glass, all one piece without any screws, bolts, hardware, etc. holding it together. The beveled pillar flows & sits on a 6 point base. The notched & angled shoe platform is perfectly made to hold a shoe for display. The crystal glass is thick, shiny & wavy with some very tiny glass bubbles inside. Because of its beauty, I am guessing it was used in a high end ladies clothing store or shoe store in the early 1900's; not used in a general store. This piece is near pristine. I feel one tiny tiny nick, which I actually didn't see, but feel upon inspection. It would look so lovely in a master closet to show off a beautiful & favorite high heel!
