Want to see it & feel it before making a decision? Order a swatch or swatches of both the authentic wool & poly/viscose. Each swatch is approximately 6-8 inches square. This product is only available to ship within the US & Canada. Scottish weavers make the OUTLANDER tartans using hopsack plain weave with a wash only to give it that natural look. The weight of the wool is 12oz & it is 60″ wide. Weavers in Scotland make tartan fabrics for the production of OUTLANDER: The Series from 100% premium wool. The designer chose weathered & earth-tone colors common to the era depicted in OUTLANDER: The Series. The fabric for the production was specifically woven in a looser, more rustic weave, just like you would expect from the looms of the 18th century. in short, every effort was made to ensure authenticity.
