This lovely figurine on box was designed by the legendary Constantin Holzer-Defanti in the 1920s. The lady is a depiction of Ronny Irene Johansson, a Swedish dancer who was born in 1891 in Riga, Latvia, & died in 1979 in Stockholm. She was one of Sweden's internationally most talked about dance artists of her time & has a central place in the early history of modern dance. Her work as a dance artist, teacher & public educator was of great importance to the development of the art of dance.(Wikipedia) 15 cm tall, 11 cm in diameter. Nice vintage, soon antique, condition. A tiny chip on the inside, on the rim of the bottom part - the porcelain is hardly damaged, mostly just the golden glaze. When the lid is on, it is not visible.
