Description
Molded silver color metal (looks like aluminum) of a Medieval Burgonet embossed parade helmet, with battle scenes all around the form, that section with a goldish color paint over the silver base metal. Measures 14" x 8 1'2", x 10 1/2" high. The battle scenes include warriors fighting lions, with castle in background, other animals & figures. It can actually fit on a medium sized head, but is very heavy, so was likely made as a decorative object rather than a functional helmet for wear. There are screw holes in both front & back visor & neck cover, as well as some holes that are filled, visible from bottom. No marks or information regarding manufacture or age, though is likely early to mid 20th century. Wear to surface, some of the paint worn, minor scrapes & evidence of usage.
