Hand carved cuneiform Inanna Ishtar necklace. Inanna is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess associated with love, beauty, loving, war, justice, & political power. She was originally worshiped in Sumer & was later worshipped by the Akkadians, Babylonians, & Assyrians under the name Ishtar. She was associated with the planet Venus & her most prominent symbols included the lion & the eight-pointed star.
