Great looking vertical striped blouse from Neiman Marcus in red, white & blue. Made in the 1970s by Adelaar. The fabric is a nice quality version of polyester. Navy blue stripes on a white background with wonderful contrasting bright red stripes inside the turned up cuffs & at the collar. Very good vintage condition with one small faint spot on one sleeve near the cuff that is shown with scissors in the photographs. Presents very well. Labeled as a size 14, but vintage sizing differs from modern sizes. To ensure a proper fit, please use the measurements that were taken with the blouse buttoned & flat on a table. Armpit to armpit is 20.75" Across the waist is 18.25" Sleeve length from shoulder is 24.5 while sleeve is not cuffed or turned up. Length from top of shoulder is 25". The photos with models are not wearing this blouse but are wearing similar striped tailored blouses for women to show that this look is once again very popular. Adelaar Blouse Company was an American company founded in 1934. They were well known primarily for making well made women's tailored blouses. This was retailed at Neiman Marcus in the 1970s.
